I was born and raised in Columbus County, a graduate of South Columbus High School--Go Stallions! After graduation, I attended Southeastern Community College and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where I earned my undergraduate degree; I then attended East Carolina University, where I earned my Masters degree. I also earned my principal licensure, and was a principal executive intern at SCHS during the 2013-2014 school year. I also studied voice at the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University. During my career, I have had the awesome privilege to teach at all levels--elementary, middle, and high school--which has afforded me a wide array of experiences. I also own JP Music Studio, where I teach private piano and voice lessons. Music is a passion of mine, and I love sharing and making musical experiences with others. My goal is for each of my students to leave my class having acquired a similar love and passion for this awesome art form.
Music: It's not what I do; It's who I am.
